Resident Recognized

By AGD

The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) recently announced that James S. Tagliarini, DMD, FAGD, of Sandy Hook received the association’s 2010 Fellowship award during the AGD 2010 Annual Meeting & Exhibits.

To accomplish this goal, Dr Tagliarini completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive exam, and fulfilled three years of continuous membership in the AGD. As a recipient of this award, he joins more than 6,600 AGD members going above and beyond basic requirements.

Academy President Fares M. Elias, DDS, JD, FAGD, said the Sandy Hook resident has distinguished himself professionally among his peers and “demonstrates the characteristics of a role model to his fellow dentists and to the members of the community.”

Dr Tagliarini graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in May 1998 and currently practices dentistry in Danbury.

He is married to Laura and they have two children, Carter and Melissa. In addition to the AGD, Dr Tagliarini is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, New England Master Track, and Southington Study Club for Comprehensive Dentistry.
