First Selectman Pat Llodra is seeking residents to fill several opening on local appointed boards and commissions. In some cases the appointments are required to be affiliated with a specific political party, while in other cases unaffiliated voters are encouraged to consider serving.

Current openings exist on:

*The Pension Committee with a vacant position open to a Republican or an unaffiliated voter. The last day to express interest is June 1.

*Commission on Aging with an alternate position available to a Republican, Democrat, or unaffiliated voter and a full board position available to a Democrat or an unaffiliated voter. The last day to express interest is June 29.

*The Conservation Commission with one vacancy for a Democrat or unaffiliated voter and one open position available to any registered voter.

*The Hattertown Historic District with an alternate position available to a Democrat or unaffiliated voter.

*Board of Ethics with one position available to Democrat or unaffiliated voter.

*Sustainable Energy Commission with one position open to any registered voter.

*Library Board of Trustees with a vacant position available to a Republican or an unaffiliated voter.
