Rose Lawrence, 86, a lifelong resident of Newtown, departed this life on March 12, 2019, at River Glen Healthcare Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Earl Lawrence, Jr. Rose was born in Newtown on March 14, 1932, to the late Joseph and Tessa (Schuta) Hoitko.

She was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Rose is survived by her daughters, Ruth Ann Potter of Danbury and Terry Lynn Lawrence of Southbury; grandchildren, Sarah F. Potter, Justin Serke, Dr Brittany Baisch and her husband Thomas, and Garett Serke; and great-grandchildren, Lincoln and Grant Baisch.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019, at 1:30 pm, at the Newtown Village Cemetery.

The Carpino Funeral Home of Southbury has been entrusted with the arrangements.
