Rosemarie McKenzie, 98, of Danbury died peacefully February 13. She was born in Jamaica Queens, N.Y., daughter of Agnes and Rudolph Schneider.

She was the loving wife of Edward McKenzie; adored mother and mother-in-law of Douglass and Carol McKenzie of Sandy Hook, Betty and Dr Paul Esposito of Sherman, Robert and Michelle McKenzie of Danbury, Mary and Gary Nimer of Brookfield, Laurie and Chris White of Arizona, and the late James McKenzie. She was also the cherished "Grandy" of 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs McKenzie loved children, was an avid teller of jokes and enjoyed relaying treasured memories of special times spent with family and friends. She was happiest when her surroundings were filled with her beloved family, flowers, and butterflies. Her loved ones say they will all miss her dearly and that Heaven got a rose.

A memorial funeral mass will be conducted at 11:30 am Saturday, February 17, at St Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.

The Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.
