Sarah D'Aiuto

Sarah D’Aiuto, 85, of Danbury, wife of the late George J. D'Aiuto, died April 20, at Hancock Hall, Danbury. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., May 30, 1927, a daughter of Antonina (Mistretta) and Joseph Tagliarini.

She attended New York schools and was a homemaker. A resident of Danbury since 1965, Mrs D’Aiuto was a member of St Peter Parish, Danbury.

A son, George J. D'Aiuto, and his wife Janice, of Sandy Hook; a daughter, Noreen T. Vondle, and her husband Dallas, of Danbury; two grandchildren; a sister, Marie Colittie; two great-grandchildren; and several other relatives survive Mrs D’Aiuto. In addition to her parents and husband, two brothers, Fred and Joseph Tagliarini, and a sister, Lucille DiVito, predeceased her.

Funeral services will take place Wednesday, April 24, at 10:30 am, in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Avenue, Danbury. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of St Peter Cemetery, Danbury. The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, Wednesday, from 9 to 10:30 am.
