Those eager to do some early holiday shopping can rejoice, because the Newtown Senior Center's Annual Holiday Bazaar is scheduled for Saturday, November 18, from 9 am to 3 pm.

Members of the Newtown Senior Center have been hard at work, diligently making items for the bazaar over the last few months.

Newtown Senior Center Director Marilyn Place says that each year members design a new item to showcase, and this year's special creation is a wide assortment of miniature holiday trees. Each plush tree stands in a red festive pot and is decorated with faux greenery and berries.

The Annual Holiday Bazaar will also have handmade jewelry, table runners, quilts, afghans, holiday jars, painted wine glasses, ornaments, baked goods, wall hangings, knitted and crocheted items, and much more.

For more information call the Newtown Senior Center at 203-270-4310 and stop by the Holiday Bazaar at 14 Riverside Road.
