Members of the Newtown Senior Center were sporting festive green ensembles during the annual St Paddy’s Day lunch and bingo on March 15.

Irish-themed dishes like Shepard’s Pie and Irish soda bread were served for lunch, along with salad, pasta with garlic and broccoli, green cupcakes, and Jell-O with cool whip.

Tables were decorated with green shamrocks and gold coins, setting the scene as members tried their hand at winning bingo.

First Selectmen Dan Rosenthal was the game’s official bingo caller and was assisted by Newtown Community Center program coordinator Jennifer Cebry, who handed out prizes.
