St Rose Of Lima School Sets Open House For October 14

St Rose of Lima School, 40 Church Hill Road, is set to host an Open House event on Sunday, October 14, from 12:30 to 2:30 pm.

Administrators, teachers, parents, and students will be available to speak about the advantages of a Catholic education as well as the social, emotional, and educational benefits of a kindergarten to eighth grade environment.

St Rose of Lima School also offers pre-kindergarten, 3- and 4-year-old programs, and Step Up to Kindergarten programs. The school has a state of the art science lab that supports the inquiry science program based on Next Generation Science Standards and is utilized by all students, beginning in preschool. Brand new sets of classroom Chromebooks and four Smart TVs support digital literacy and blended learning for the entire student population.

St Rose of Lima School Principal Bardhyl Gjoka said St Rose of Lima School is “a faith-centered community committed to academic excellence in an atmosphere that nurtures the intellectual, physical, and moral development of each student.

“This year marks the school’s 60th anniversary,” he continued. “We blend tradition and innovation to develop enlightened students who are equipped to excel in the high schools, colleges, and careers they choose after leaving these halls. We grow future leaders, as is evidenced by our successful alumni.”

St Rose of Lima School is designated as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the US Department of Education and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). In addition to its core academic offerings, including Advanced Math for upper graders and Spanish and Mandarin language courses for all students in preschool through eighth grade, St Rose of Lima School offers a competitive sports program as well as Mock Trial and Model UN teams. Instrument instruction is available to students in first through eighth grades. After school childcare is available, and the school is nut free.
