St Rose Of Lima School To Host An Open House Event On April 12

St Rose of Lima School is scheduled to host an open house event on Thursday, April 12, from 5:30 to 7 pm.

Teachers, parents, and students will be on hand, along with Principal Sister Colleen Therese Smith, to answer questions about the many advantages of a Catholic education and the social, emotional, and educational benefits of a kindergarten through eighth grade environment.

St Rose of Lima School also offers prekindergarten, 3-year-old, 4-year-old, Step Up, and kindergarten programs. The school has a science lab, as well as an outdoor learning center equipped with a butterfly garden and solar panel station.

Located at 40 Church Hill Road, St Rose of Lima School is designated as a Blue Ribbon school of Excellence by the US Department of Education. Nationally recognized as a recipient of the Gold Level Award in the Math Counts competitive program, the school is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), is nut-free and has a fully integrated technology platform utilized by all grades across the curriculum. In addition to its core academic offerings, students can partake in advanced math class as well as in Spanish and Mandarin language courses.

St Rose of Lima School also offers a sports program, as well as Mock Trial and Model UN teams. There are theater opportunities for students in first to eighth grade, culminating in a younger children's show in the fall and an Upper Grade musical in the spring. A fully functioning television studio is onsite with news production, from scripting to filming to editing to broadcasting, built in to the curriculum. After school child care is available.
