Tee Off To Benefit The Horse Guard

On Monday, May 14, the Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard will hold its First Annual Golf Tournament at the Grassy Hill Country Club in Orange. The tourney is sponsored by the non-profit organization Friends of the Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard.

Support the programs volunteer troopers make possible by playing, or taking advantage of the numerous sponsorship opportunities. For information, visit www.thehorseguard.org and click the link to view the flyer.

The tournament will feature a shotgun/scramble format – tee-off at 1:30 pm following registration at 12:30 pm. Cost is $150 per golfer and includes carts, green fees, locker room, beer at the turn, sit down dinner, 50/50 raffle, and prizes for lowest scramble score, longest drive and closest to the pin.

Contact 1LT Karen Farrar at 2GHGopsofficer@optonline.net to sign up or for more details.

The Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard is working to become more financially self-sufficient by raising funds to support troop activities, including Saddle Up For Life, a recreational therapy program for the physically challenged; Horses for Hospitals, an outreach program to children staying in Connecticut hospitals; and numerous other support and service programs.
