Teikyo Post Schedules Open House For Working Adults

The Division of Accelerated Degree Programs at Teikyo Post University invites prospective students to attend an Open House/Registration Session on Wednesday, July 31, Hess Hall, room 116 on the main campus at 800 Country Club Road, Waterbury (I-84, exit 17). Prospective students are invited to stop by any time between 5 and 7:30 pm, but appointments are recommended. Call 800-582-8250 to set up an appointment.

Teikyo Post’s accelerated program allows students to earn either associate’s or bachelor’s degrees in half the time. The academic year is divided into six eight-week terms, and classes meet twice a week on Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 7:50 pm and/or 8 to 10:20 pm. Students can earn 36 credits in one year by taking two courses each term.

Those who wish to attend classes on the weekend can choose between Friday night or Saturday morning classes, which meet every other week for 16 weeks (eight class sessions). Friday night classes run 5:30 to 9:45 pm and Saturday morning classes meet 8:30 am to 12:45 pm. There are three Alternate Weekend terms per year with two schedules each term (one schedule for the summer term). All scheduled courses are guaranteed to run.

At the main campus in Waterbury, students can earn bachelor’s or associate’s degrees in Business Management, Accounting, Marketing, Legal Assistant or General Studies; and bachelor’s degrees in Management Information Systems, Human Services, Integrated Business, Finance, or Psychology. There are also four evening sites in Danbury, Meriden, Trumbull and West Hartford as well as on site at several companies.

Students can earn degrees in Integrated Business, Legal Studies, Marketing, Management Information Systems, and Management entirely online as well as in the classroom. Degrees in International Business, Early Childhood Education (AS degree), and Criminal Justice are available entirely online. Visit the website at www.tpuonline.com for more information. Teikyo Post has a liberal transfer credit policy. Students have the opportunity to earn credit for life or work experience through CLEP or DANTES testing or the University portfolio program.
