The Newtown Open tennis tournament will be held the weekend of June 22 and 23, at Dickinson Park check-in and main site) as well as Treadwell Park and Newtown High School. Players must be available all weekend and flexible for match times. There is potential for Friday, June 21, matches at 6 pm.

This is a community event with the goal of growing the tennis community in Newtown and surrounding towns. The focus is on fun, social competition where people get to meet tennis players.

Entry fee is $30 per singles entry and $60 per doubles team. Age range is 18 and older, with over 55 doubles divisions are available.

Participants are guaranteed at least two matches, two raffle tickets (more available for purchase), and food and refreshments.

Money raised from the raffle, which will include many items from local businesses, will help provide sponsorship to children in need of financial assistance to have the opportunity to participate in tennis clinics in town. Sign up: newtowntennisassociation.com.
