Theresa "Terry" Koczy Komornik, 85, a longtime Newtown resident, died peacefully May 9, at home. She was born October 2, 1932, the daughter of Paul and Madeline Koczy of Fairfield.

Mrs Komornik enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, and doing her many craft projects.

Her loving husband, Joseph; five children and their spouses, Holly and Joseph Kocet of Newtown, Dawn Komornik of Watertown, Robin and Alan Austin of Danbury, Tami Komornik of Southbury, and Heather and Steve Cronin of Watertown; five grandchildren, Ryan McNally and wife Ashley, Kristen Behr and husband William, Matthew Kocet, Samantha Cronin, and Mandy Cronin; three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews survive her.

In addition to her parents, her sister, Barbara Olson, predeceased her.

Friends and family may call Monday, May 14, from 4 to 7 pm at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.

A service will be Tuesday, May 15 at 11 am at St Rose Catholic Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, 208 South Main Street, Newtown.
