University of Connecticut marketing students vying for an internship at Edmond Town Hall this summer have created a survey that will help them better service the client base of those who utilize the historic building at 45 Main Street.

The students have created an online survey, and are asking residents to take a few minutes to participate in their survey. The survey has been set up through Google Forms. No passwords are needed, nor is the name or e-mail of those responding.

ETH Operations Manager Sheila Torres said this week that the students "are simply trying to gather some primary data."

Among its questions, the survey asks those responding how they learned of the historic building, the purpose of their most recent visit, how frequently the responder visits Edmond Town Hall. It asks how far a responder would travel to enjoy a new movie for a $3 ticket price, the responder's favorite movie genre, the day and general timeframe the responder generally goes to movies.

The survey also asks how many children each person taking the survey has, their average household income, when they were born, and which town they live in.

Those taking the survey must answer all questions. The survey does not continue, nor can it be submitted, until all questions are answered.

The students plan to meet with the ETH Board of Managers next week, according to Ms Torres.

"They will reveal to us the data sets and surveyed groups" at that time, she said.
