If God did exist, what would you ask?

Guests will have an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting at an Alpha course to be held at The Iron Bridge Restaurant, 100 Church Hill Road in Sandy Hook, on Tuesdays, beginning May 7, at 7 pm.

During each session, people will enjoy food, laughter, and learning about the teachings of Jesus in an atmosphere where no question about life or God will be seen as too simple or too hostile.

Alpha is for anyone. People attend Alpha from all backgrounds, religions and viewpoints. They attend to investigate questions about the existence of God, the purpose of life, what happens after death, the teachings of Jesus, and more. Many guests have never been to church, others may have attended church occasionally but feel they have never really understood the basics of the Christian faith.

All are welcome, and there is no charge to attend.

In addition, healing services will continue to be offered at St John’s Episcopal Church, 5 Washington Avenue in Sandy Hook, weekly through May.

“There has been a quiet and steady growth and effectiveness, and we have an open door to keep going,” said Janet Leighton, who has been organizing the services with her husband, Christopher. All are welcome to visit the church on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm.
