WILTON, CONN. — The exhibition “Unhung Heroes,” is on view at Wilton Library through October 30. An artist’s reception will take place October 10, from 6 to 7:30 pm.

The show highlights the works of 27 artists who have either not exhibited at the library previously or not in the recent past. The variety of the more than 75 works is as diverse as the artists themselves.

“The different styles, subject matter and media are expansive in an exhibition such as this,” explained MacEwen. “We had a number of artists who wanted to show here, so we came up with the idea of combining all of them into one large exhibition, hence our ‘Unhung Heroes.’ This gives the community a chance to see a range of works from amateurs to art teachers to full time artists.”

The artists’ reception is open to the public. The majority of the artwork will be available for purchase with proceeds from the sales benefiting the library’s art collection fund.

Wilton Library is at 137 Old Ridgefield Road. For more information, 203-762-3950 or www.wiltonlibrary.org.
