Upcycling Plastic Bags
To the Editor:
Re: Proposal to ban plastic grocery bags:
I use these bags to line my kitchen garbage can. Then they go into the huge dumpster, which is picked up weekly by Associated Refuse Haulers. I also use them to contain shredded paper and anything else going into Associated Refuse Haulers’ huge can.
You can’t just dump loose, wet stuff in the big can.
I guess I would have to buy plastic bags for this purpose —that’s not nice!
I can hardly believe I’m the only one who doesn’t recycle them usefully.
I thought we were encouraged to stay in our homes. I’m over 85 and disabled. I can’t drag huge garbage bags around.
