Police report they charged Jeffrey June, 24, of 15 Cherry Street, Sandy Hook, on a warrant November 29 listing one count of fourth-degree sexual assault. Police said June turned himself in at the police station after learning of the warrant.

Police said the arrest stems from their investigation into an October complaint from an unidentified female, which alleges that June made improper sexual contact with her.

Police said they released June from custody on a promise to appear December 13 in Danbury Superior Court to answer the charge.
