On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the C.H. Booth Library, we are pleased to welcome our new director, Douglas C. Lord.

Doug has more than 20 years of leadership roles in state level and community-based libraries. He has served at the Hartford, New Britain, and Plainville Libraries in department head and director roles, as well as held leadership roles at the Connecticut State Library.

Doug is a talented professional with demonstrated skills in innovation, problem solving, and coalition building. Not only has he acquired extensive experience in all areas of public library work, including circulation, reference, technical services, program development, and administration, but also possesses significant skills in technology management, grants management, and implementation of outreach programs.

Please join us at a reception at the library on Sunday, February 25, from 2 to 5 pm, to welcome Doug and his family to Newtown.
