WestConn Is Planning A Five-Day

Literary Festival

DANBURY — The WestConn Master of Fine Arts in Professional Writing Program will present the WestConn Summer Literary Festival from Monday, August 1, through Friday, August 5. There will be a literary reception and event at 7:30 each evening of the festival. Locations for each day’s feature program will vary.

On Monday, writer and filmmaker Mimi Kelly will screen and discuss her work (location TBA).

Tuesday will feature a reading by author Don J. Snyder at Tarrywile Mansion, 70 Southern Boulevard.

Author Shouhua Qi will read from his novel When the Purple Mountain Burns on Wednesday in Room 218 of the Westside Classroom Building on the university’s westside campus, off Lake Avenue Extension.

On Thursday, poet Cecilia Woloch will recite her poetry at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street in Newtown.

The final event of the festival will be a reading by author Daniel Asa Rose at a location to be determined.
