To the Editor:

I write to endorse Deborra Zukowski, write-in candidate for the Board of Education. although her efforts on behalf of our community are well known to many, I personally worked with Deborra at some length as a fellow member of the recent Charter Revision Commission.

She has the unique ability to listen carefully to all the opinions and views offered, whether they agree with her own or not. That ability contributed substantially to material compromises and clarifications that are incorporated in the revised Charter. She was always willing to do the time consuming "homework" that the commission's work required. Also, Debbie was a strong advocate for putting the Board of Education's majority representation question to a clear stand alone vote in the 2016 election.

I urge all of you to write in for good government in Newtown. Fill in the oval and write "Deb Z." in square 14D.
