    To the Editor:

    It is pleasure to enthusiastically support Ann LoBosco Benore for town clerk. I have worked with Ann on many voluntary activities, for example, while I was on the Board of Education and on the Commission on Aging. Ann continues to volunteer, but more importantly, aside from the voluntary and compassionate work for which she is well known, she is also the most qualified and experienced candidate for town clerk. Here’s why:

    My name is Mary Jane McNamara, and I am writing to state why I am endorsing Ann Lobosco-Benore for town clerk in the November 2013 elections.

  • Newtown Donations Coordination Team Moves Forward

    The Newtown Donations Coordination Team is a town-sanctioned group established by First Selectman Patricia Llodra and tasked with cataloguing and seeing that the many “in kind” donations received by the town are presented to the intended recipients. The team was formed in February, in response to issues Town Tax Assessor Chris Kelsey encountered as he tried to catalogue physical items in a warehouse, and realized many non-tangible donations needed to be tracked.

  • Spreading The Love

    To the Editor:

    This past Sunday, a Community Giveaway was held at Reed Intermediate School where donated items were distributed to the children of Newtown in the wake of the Sandy Hook School tragedy.  Our mission was to realize the intention of the donors by spreading love to our community during the healing process.
