• Kids Today

    To the Editor:

Many times during the year as I loaded books on my truck to bring to storage for the book sale, any young person within sight would run over and offer to help push a cart, carry and load. This of course was always appreciated and tells me a lot more about the young people of Newtown than any standardized test results.

Thanks to all of them and to Newtown.

  • We Are In Great Hands

    To the Editor:

On Saturday, May 31, 2014, I participated in my fifth Relay for Life as a part of the Mighty Moms team. It was a wonderful, chilly night, and a substantial amount of money was raised for the American Cancer Society. Raising money to fund the fight against cancer was the main reason we were all there, but this letter has a different focus.
