  • Japanese Student Fellows Visit Newtown

Two students from Yamaguchi, Japan, visited Newtown from March 17 until April 4 through the Japan Society’s Junior Fellows program. During their stay, both students studied aspects of Newtown High School that they will use to create research projects.

Seventeen-year-old Moe Fujikawa stayed with NHS junior Emily Berube’s family, and 16-year-old Ayumi Miyamoto stayed with NHS junior Lee Cummings. The visit was arranged through the Newtown International Center for Education (NICE).
