Newtown Town Clerk Debbie Aurelia Halstead reminds owners of dogs six months of age and over that their pets must be licensed annually during the month of June.
The new 2015 licenses are available at the town clerk’s office beginning June 1 during regular office hours, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm.

To the Editor:
I would like to offer a simple, yet heartfelt, “thank you” to the doctors and staff of Mt. Pleasant Hospital for Animals. This past weekend, a rabies clinic was offered for dogs and cats at a cost of $20. The timing was perfect for one of our dogs to get his shot, so off we went.

Newtown residents with dogs 6 months of age and older must license their pets annually during the month of June.
The 2014 licenses are available at the town clerk’s office, within Newtown Municipal Center at 3 Primrose Street, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
