House and Garden Tour

  • Many Made House And Garden Tour A Success

    To the Editor:

I would like to take a moment to thank  the many people who made our 19th Annual Newtown Historical Society House and Garden Tour on June 28th so successful.  Despite the rain which did, in fact, cut down attendance, it was a good day. It was made possible by David and Betsy Kerr, David and July Beers, Chris Lincoln, Ed and Arline Shanley, Don and Jane Sharpe, George and Ellie Whalen and Eric and Cyndy Da Silva.  They were the people who so graciously opened their homes and gardens to our visitors.

  • Many Made The House and Garden Tour A Success

    To the Editor:

The Newtown Historical Society would like to express our sincere appreciation to all of the homeowners, committee members, volunteers, sponsors, and residents for their participation in our 18th annual House and Garden Tour. This year’s ticketholders supported our hometown museum by touring the exquisite properties located in Newtown’s historic district. We are grateful for the community’s support of our organization by attending this annual fundraiser.

  • Historical Society House & Garden Tour To Focus On Main Street

“Mainly Main Street” is the focus for Newtown Historical Society’s 2014 House & Garden Tour.

Ticketholders will be able to visit several antique homes and their hidden gardens, all within the town’s historic district and within easy walking distance of the flagpole. A professionally landscaped, stunning modern renovation is just a very short drive away.
