  • Making Merry At The Merryhill Anniversary Celebration

    Merryhill Child Care Center, Inc hosted a celebration of 25 years of providing child care in Newtown, Saturday, June 6, at Newtown Youth Academy.

    The fundraiser featured “Touch-A-Truck” in the NYA courtyard, including vehicles from JRC Trucking in Thomaston, SEGA Concrete of New Milford, Newtown Underwater Search and Rescue, Newtown Hook and Ladder Volunteer Fire Department, and Newtown Arbor Services.

    Inside NYA, families found indoor soccer, an obstacle course, a bounce house and slide, and face painting.

  • Trucks Deliver A Successful Fundraiser

    On June 6, Merryhill Child Care Center, Inc held a Touch-A-Truck event at the Newtown Youth Academy as part of our on-going 25th anniversary celebration. It was a great pleasure to see children and adults of all ages enjoying the spectacular variety of vehicles, food, and activities.

  • A Milestone For Merryhill

    Merryhill Child Care Center, Inc. in Newtown is proud to celebrate our 25th anniversary of nurturing infants, toddlers and preschool children of Newtown and surrounding towns. On behalf of the Board and Staff of Merryhill, we would like to thank all the current Merryhill families and alumni who have allowed us the opportunity to care for their most precious children over the last 25 years.

  • A Face-Lift For Merryhill

    To the Editor:

    On behalf of the board, staff and families of Merryhill Child Care Center in Newtown, located at 49 Queen Street, we wanted to send a heartfelt thank you to Ken Kinsman of Kinsman Construction for assisting us with renovations to our center in preparation for our upcoming 25th anniversary, open houses and public events.

  • Harvest Festival Planned

    Merryhill Child Care Center will be hosting a Harvest Festival at Reed Intermediate School on Saturday, November 16. It will run from 11 am until 3 pm.

    The festival will include more than 30 craft vendors, food vendors, a visit from Santa, games, performances, face painting, Billy Steers and Tractor Mac, and more. For a fee ranging from $1 to $2, children can visit Santa’s Workshop to make crafts they can keep or give as holiday gifts.

  • Child Care Center Open House, Saturday

    Merryhill Child Care Center is now enrolling for preschool (children ages 3-6).

    Parents and children are invited to take a tour of our center, meet teachers and enjoy a bouncy slide, face painting, arts and crafts, snacks and more on Saturday, August 10. An open house will run from 9 am until noon.

    Merryhill is at 49 Queen Street.
