Colgate Resos Returning For Second Annual Newtown Performance
The Resolutions, or “Resos” as they like to be called, is the first gender-inclusive a cappella group at Colgate University. Since 1992, Colgate students have joined together for the common goal of creating beautiful a cappella music.
The Resos currently boasts 17 members, including Leah Crebbin of Newtown. The Colgate sophomore is celebrating her second season as a Reso.
The group performed at Newtown Congregational Church in January 2025, and has announced plans to return to the West Street location for another concert this month.
All are invited to enjoy the performance planned for Friday, January 9, at 7 pm.
The repertoire of The Resos includes everything from pop to jazz to indie to classic rock, and grows every semester as members craft original arrangements of their personal favorites.
The Resos have two major concerts each academic year — the Fall Concert, and Akfest in the spring — along with various performances in venues around Hamilton, N.Y. Each January, they have a week-long tour in the Northeast region, spanning cities from New York City to Boston.
The Resos also record an album each year, which can be found on Spotify and YouTube.
A freewill donation will be taken during their appearance at Newtown Congregational Church to help offset the group’s expenses for their winter tour.
