Rosemary (Scozzafava) Lariccia
Rosemary (Scozzafava) Lariccia, of Clearbrook Road, Danbury, wife of John B. Lariccia, died at her home January 4, with her family at her side. She was 73 years of age.
She was the mother of John A. Lariccia of Newtown.
Born in Danbury October 8, 1926, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Rotunda) Scozzafava, she attended St Joseph School and Danbury High School and was a lifelong Danbury resident.
She had been employed as the cafeteria manager at Shelter Rock School for 12 years and at Davis & Geck for 18 years, retiring in 1981.
Mr and Mrs Lariccia celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last November.
Mrs Lariccia was a member of St Peter Church and its Parish Life Committee, was a volunteer at St Peter Church and Rectory, and was active in parish activities. She also volunteered as a receptionist at the Danbury Probate Court.
Besides her husband and son, she is survived by another son, James P. Lariccia of New Milford; one daughter, Mary Ellen Cesca of Danbury; two brothers, Thomas Scozzafava, Sr of Danbury and Louis Scozzafava of Indianapolis, Ind; six grandchildren, Michelle Lariccia, Gina Lariccia, Jennifer Cesca, Tamma Rosensteel, David Lattin and Matthew Cesca; two great-grandchildren, Anneka and Helaina Rosensteel; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held from the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, January 7 at 9:45 to St Peter Church at 10:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial.
Interment was in the family plot in St Peter Cemetery.
Calling hours were scheduled at the Cornell Memorial Home Thursday, from 5 to 8 pm.
