A Life Committed To Forgiveness

WOODBURY — Woodbury Yoga Center will host a free Sunday evening program on January 16 with Rosemarie Palladino, a popular speaker, teacher and reiki master. The program will begin at 6:45.

In her program “Forgiveness: What’s The Big Deal Anyway?” Ms Palladino will discuss how cultivating an attitude for a life committed to forgiveness enriches anyone’s daily life and why forgiveness is both important and healthy for the forgiver and the forgiven.

Ms Palladino holds a graduate degree in theology from Yale University and was a teaching assistant under pastoral counseling Prof Kristen Leslie, PhD, and renowned liberation theologian Prof Emeritus Letty Russell, PhD.

While at Yale, she performed pastoral counseling at Fellowship Place, an outpatient facility for the treatment of chronic and severe mental illness, served as an elected participant in the Professional Studies Committee, and was facilitator of Yale Divinity School Women’s Center.

Ms Palladino also holds a certificate of study from Hartford Seminary Women’s Leadership Institute, has done volunteer work at Niantic Correctional Facility, and continues to do pastoral premarital care out of a local church.

In addition, Ms Palladino is a practicing Usui reiki master, a registered Karuna reiki practitioner and a member of the International Association for Reiki Professionals. She resides in Litchfield with her husband and is a mother to four children and three dogs.

The free program is open to the public, and instruction in meditation is provided. After the presentation, there will be a silent group meditation and then an informal tea reception.

Woodbury Yoga Center, at 122 West Side Road, can be reached by calling 203-263-2254.
