DISCOVERY DAYS AT MANHASSET ANTIQUES (local?)

MANHASSET, N.Y. — The semiannual Manhasset Antiques Discovery Days, will take place from Tuesday, January 25, through Saturday, February 5. Individuals may bring up to five items to the store, during business hours, Tuesday–Saturday, 11 am to 5 pm, to be identified. Pictures of particularly fragile or very large items can also be brought to the store. All markings should be clear.

If possible, please bring paper items, including books, prints and paintings, to the store on Tuesday. Wednesday is the day for glass and china. Thursday and Friday are devoted to furniture and Saturday to vintage costume jewelry.

No values will be assigned to an item, except in broad terms. “We are telling you what you have and where to find out more about the item. If you need a formal appraisal for insurance or prior to selling something, we will refer you to the right person,” states Lee Temares.

The Manhasset Antiques Discovery Days is at 426 Plandome Road. Appointments may be made for other times and dates by calling the shop at 516-627-8466.
