Hearing On Lyme Disease

HARTFORD –– The Connecticut Department of Public Health and the Connecticut attorney general’s office will hold a hearing on Lyme disease on January 29 in Room 2E of the Legislative Office Building, 300 Capitol Avenue.

The hearing will be held to promote dialogue among the participants and provide a forum for the exchange of Lyme disease information as presented from the perspectives of patients, health care providers, scientists, and government officials.

Attendance by medical care providers, public health practitioners, and the public at this hearing is encouraged. Attendance is free.

The hearing begins with welcoming remarks by Public Health Commissioner J. Robert Galvin, MD, and Attorney General Richard Blumenthal at 8:30 am, followed by a patient panel from 8:45 to 10:15 pm. There will be a physician and laboratory panel, lunch, government panels, and closing remarks.
