Mary Hamburger O’Neil

Active Easton Resident

Mary Hamburger O’Neil, 85, of Easton, died peacefully in her home, January 14. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of Lewis and Anna Ryan Hamburger.

She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut majoring in English, history and sociology. She was a volunteer for Meals On Wheels in Easton, the education committee at Notre Dame of Easton Church, and a member of the Auxiliary Committee at St Vincent’s Medical Center.

Seven children, including Terri O’Neil Berthier, and her husband, Robert, 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren survive Mrs O’Neil. A sister, Lois, predeceased her.

Her family wishes to thank her devoted caregivers Stacy Andriolas, Luba Cap, Jackie Desravines, Sandra Dorvil, Veronica O’Connell, and Glenda Thompson.

Funeral services took place January 18. Interment was in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown.
