As a Newtown public office holder the past four years, I’ve learned that effective leadership is defined by good judgment in changing circumstances, respect for differing views, and an unshakable commitment to doing the right thing even when no one is watching. Those qualities matter here in Newtown, and they matter even more in Hartford.

That is why I strongly support Brandon Moore for State Representative.

Brandon brings a rare combination of service, discipline, and proven results. As a combat veteran who earned a Bronze Star in Afghanistan, he understands responsibility at the highest stakes. His military service reflects courage, accountability, and an ability to lead through complexity, qualities that translate directly to public leadership.

Those same skills are evident in his civilian service. Through his work with the Lamont-Bysiewicz administration, Brandon successfully negotiated across agencies to secure services for working parents, veterans transitioning to civilian life, and unemployed residents seeking pathways back into the workforce. These outcomes required persistence, trust-building, and the ability to align stakeholders around shared goals. Our state legislature can be a rough and tumble place, chock-full of alpha personalities who very much want their own views to prevail.

Brandon has the strength and persistence to match their efforts and make sure Newtown has a seat at the table and its voice is heard.

Here in Newtown, we make hard decisions that greatly impact our neighbors today as well as the long term future of our town. Brandon approaches public service with that same level of seriousness. He listens carefully, negotiates in good faith, and stays relentlessly focused on outcomes that strengthen communities.

Brandon’s dedication to public service is not episodic. It is consistent and deeply rooted. Brandon has been a lifelong champion of Connecticut and our country. He shows up, does the work, and follows through. Newtown deserves a State Representative who is young, energetic, who can think on their feet, and who combines dynamic, real-world leadership experience with a proven the ability to deliver results.

Brandon Moore has already served our state with distinction. I am confident he will serve Newtown with the same integrity and commitment as State Representative.
