Taste-Test Favorite Recipes With Chinese Gourmet
Norma Chang, the traveling gourmet, will be presenting a âDo-Ahead Chinese Partyâ demonstration at the C.H. Booth Library at 1 pm on Tuesday, January 27.
Come learn some authentic and crowd pleasing recipes that can be prepared ahead, so that hosts will have more time with their guests.
Steam pearl balls, lotus root salad, sesame noodles, eggplant salad, and wontons are some of the delicious items on the menu for Tuesdayâs program. Ms Chang shares timesaving tips and helpful hints as she enthusiastically demystifies Chinese cooking.
She will present easy-to-prepare recipes with an emphasis on low-fat, high flavor, and nutrition. Participants will be able to sample all of the dishes prepared during the session.
Ms Chang is a food lover who enjoys sharing her skills and ideas with others through many food-related activities. She is also a master gardener specializing in growing Asian vegetables.
She is the author of two cookbooks, including Wokking Your Way to Low-Fat Cooking.
Ms Chang believes that cooking should be fun; that food should not only be good for you, but it should also look and taste good, too.
The cooking demonstration is free, but reservations are required as class size is limited to 40 participants. Call the library at 426-4533 to RSVP.
