Giuseppe Rigoli

Giuseppe Rigoli, 89, of Shelton, the beloved husband of the late Fortuna (Pardo) Rigoli, died January 19 at St Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport.

Born in Pittsfield, Penn., on July 18, 1914, he was the son of the late Raphael and Annunziata (DeMaria) Rigoli.

Survivors include his beloved family, his children, Vincent Rigoli and his wife Charlene of Newtown, Maria (Tita) Sanzo and her husband John of Shelton, Anthony Rigoli and his wife Hilda of Phoenix, Ariz., Teresa Camera of Stratford, Rocco Rigoli and his wife Maria, Catherine Saraco and her husband Robert, and Paul Rigoli and his wife Francesca, all of Shelton; daughters-in-law, Maria Rigoli of Monroe, and Fran Rigoli of Virginia; sisters-in-law, Caterina Rigoli of Bridgeport and Clemetina Rigoli of Italy; one sister, Bridget Martino of Italy; 24 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Raphael Rigoli; several brothers; and one sister.

Mr Rigoli was a Bridgeport resident for 50 years before moving to Shelton. He was a retired construction worker for the E & F Construction Co.

 Friends are invited to attend his funeral on Friday, January 23, at 9 am in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, and at 10 am in Holy Rosary Church, Bridgeport. Entombment will be in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.

Calling hours were scheduled on Thursday, January 22, from 4 to 8 pm in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home.
