Dinner Theater
The Republican Town Committee is sponsoring a mystery dinner theater fundraiser, âSurviving Idol,â at 7 pm on February 7 at the Fireside Inn.
The show, produced by Crime & Merriment of Danbury, takes place at the remote island mansion of Dr Wolfe Lycantros, a famous and eccentric scientist. The filming of the final episode for the year is special because the ratings have been sagging and the producers are promoting new and dangerous gimmicks for the show. Filming at the mysterious island amid rumors of a prowling werewolf, contestants will have the opportunity to perform for a panel of judges and fellow contestants to determine the ultimate survivor in the contest.
Tickets are $50 per person and include appetizers and a buffet dinner as well as the show. A prize will be awarded to the individual who solves the mysterious death of a member of the cast.
Tickets can be purchased from Marie Sturdevant, 426-5957, or Barbara Bloom, 270-7703, co-chairpersons of the event, or through any member of the Republican Town Committee.
