Look Good,

Feel Better

DANBURY –– The American Cancer Society and The Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital will conduct a “Look Good, Feel Better” workshop at Danbury Hospital on Monday, February 9, from 10 am to noon. The workshop will be held at The Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital, first floor conference room, Stroock Building, Locust Avenue entrance.

Look Good, Feel Better workshops focus on teaching female cancer patients beauty techniques to help restore their appearance and self-image during chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

Trained volunteer beauty experts from the community lead small groups through practical, hands-on experience regarding makeup techniques, skincare, nail care, and options related to hair loss such as wigs, turbans, and scarves. Each workshop participant receives a free kit of cosmetics for use during and after the workshop.

Look Good, Feel Better workshops take place on the second Monday of each month at Danbury Hospital. For more information about cancer education programs and services at Danbury Hospital, call cancer care coordinator Joanne Ballerini, RN at 797-7771, or visit the Danbury Hospital website at www.danburyhospital.org and click on the “Cancer” tab.
