Mr and Mrs Charles Ackley, Jr

Karina Elizabeth Wolfe of Mountain Laurel Lane, Sandy Hook, married Charles Shepard Ackley, Jr, of Scranton, Penn, on August 16 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Newtown.

Trinity Pastor Kathie Adams-Shepherd officiated.

The bridge is the daughter of Valentine and Susan Wolfe of Sandy Hook. The groom is the son of Charles and Mary Ackley of Towanda, Penn.

The bride wore a sleeveless white A-line gown with a beaded bodice and a train adorned with beads and sequins. She carried a bouquet of pink roses.

Lisa Rodriguez of Newtown was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids included Tara Wolfe of North Brunswick, N.J.; Tiffany Wolfe of Newtown; Keisha Joseph of New York, N.Y.,; Sara Frederick of Boulton, N.J., and Christina Herman of Hammondsport, N.Y. The attendants wore yellow sleeveless A-line dresses with a yellow chiffon back inserts, and carried bouquets of pink roses.

Richard Woodbeck of Towanda was the best man. The ushers included Derrick White of Arlington, Va.; Phillip Herman of Laurel, Md.; Will Donahue and John Kirby of Scranton; Mark Kovacs of Baltimore, Md., and Dustin Herman of Athens, Penn., the junior groomsman.

Savannah Sakosky of Scranton was the flower girl; Chandler Von Rheedy of Hammondsport, N.Y., was the ring bearer.

The bride graduated from Newtown High School and Marywood University. She is a music therapist. The groom, who is a teacher, is a graduate of Towanda High School and Marywood University.

Following a Hawaiian wedding trip to Maui and the Big Island, the couple lives in Fairport, N.Y.
