Planning For The Future By

Getting Your Affairs In Order

January is the month of New Year’s resolutions, but there should be more on the agenda than merely a new exercise plan.

Among the all-important tasks that goes along with preparing for tax season is getting one’s affairs in order –– a job better done sooner than later.

Attorney Robert Fisher will be at the Cyrenius Booth Library on Thursday, January 29, at 7:30 pm to offer practical advice on living wills, power of attorney, and the last will and testament.

These are issues that most people tend to avoid. Yet, by dealing with them now, individuals can alleviate problems for themselves and their families down the road.

Robert Fisher’s talk is sponsored by the Western Connecticut Area Agency On Aging, with which the C.H. Booth Library has a partnership. The agency develops, manages and provides comprehensive services for seniors, caregivers, and their families in order to maintain their independence and quality of life.

This program is free and the public is invited. Call the library at 426-4533 to RSVP. Refreshments will be served.
