Programs For Young Adultsâ
Book-Movie Discussion And Chocolates At Booth Library
The Young Adult Department of C.H. Booth Library has two programs planned during upcoming weeks.
On Wednesday, January 28, readers in grades 5 to 8 are invited to watch a screening of the 2003 film Holes, based on the book by Louis Sachar. Following the movie Young Adult Librarian Margaret Brown will lead a discussion of the book and film. Copies of Holes are available at the library.
The program will run from 4:30 until 7:30 pm and will be in the libraryâs first floor meeting room. Registration is requested and pizza dinner will be served.
Then on Tuesday, February 3, there will be a âCreative Chocolates for Valentineâs Dayâ workshop for those in grades 6 and up. Registration is absolutely mandatory for this workshop, which is limited to 12 students.
Diane Buchanan will lead the program, with participants making painted lollipops, peppermint bark and peanut butter cups.
There is a $5 supply fee, which can be paid at the time of the workshop. The program will run from 3:30 to 5 pm; snow date will be February 10 if necessary.
Sign-ups for both programs are being taken at the libraryâs main floor circulation desk. Students may also call in to register at 426-4533.
