Sylvia D. Malkin, 89, of Norwalk, wife of the late William K. Malkin, Sr, died January 18 at St Joseph Manor in Trumbull.
She is survived by three sons, William K. Malkin, Jr, and his wife Marianne of Newtown, Pat Malkin and his wife Joan of Norwalk, and Gary Malkin and his wife Rosemary of Norwalk; four sisters, Lucy Chase of Norwalk, Vera Crafton of Neptune, N.J., Ann Thommen of Bethel, and Emma Cehi of Fairfield; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Suga, and three brothers, Ernest, Joseph, and Albert DâOrio.
Mrs Malkin was born in Norwalk on June 20, 1914, daughter of the late Pasquale and Concetta DâOrio and was a lifelong resident.
She had been a longtime member of St Philip Church, Norwalk.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on January 22 at St Philip Church, Norwalk.
Interment was in St John Cemetery, Norwalk.
The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk, was in charge of arrangements.
