Motorist Elizabeth Saparato, 22, of Danbury was driving a 2009 Saturn Aura sedan northward on South Main Street, near its intersection with Greenbriar Lane, about 5:05 am January 22, when the Saturn veered to the right and then struck four guardposts and a utility pole, heavily damaging the auto, police said.

Saparato, and passenger John Cipolla, 43, of Brookfield both complained of injuries, after which ambulance volunteers transported them to Danbury Hospital, police said. Hook & Ladder firefighters went to the accident.

Police said they gave Saparato a misdemeanor summons for driving while under suspension. She is scheduled to appear in court on February 2.
