John Pavko
John Pavko, 89, of 27 Wayne Street, Bridgeport, died January 25 in Bridgeport, with his loving family by his side.
He was the father of Virginia Langan of Newtown.
He was born in Czechoslovakia on March 21, 1911. Son of the late John and Pauline (Figuly) Pavko, he was a resident of Bridgeport for more than 60 years. He retired more than 15 years ago from General Cleaners where he was a manager.
He was also the beloved father of Paula OâBrien and her husband, William, of Bridgeport. He is also survived by a brother, Samuel Pavko, of Slovakia; five loving grandchildren, William Johnpatrick and Corey OâBrien, Eileen Langan Demott and Thomas Langan, Jr; and three great grandchildren, Austin, Lauren, and William Kyle. He was predeceased by two sisters, Pauline Moncol and Julia Pavko.
His funeral left the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on January 29 for a service in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 406 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Burial was in Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield.
