Newtown Resident For     Four Decades

Helen Zboray Schneider, 74, beloved wife of Walter F. Schneider, Sr, died peacefully, January 23, at The Villages of Brookfield. Born in Stamford to Teresa and Andrew Zboray, she was a Newtown resident for more than 40 years.

Mrs Schneider was an avid reader, and enjoyed her books and her library almost as much as she enjoyed Neil Diamond. She also enjoyed summers on Cape Cod.

In addition to her devoted husband Walter, she is survived by her loving children, Walter Schneider, and his wife Margaret, of Newtown, Gary Schneider of Newtown, and his former wife, Anne Schneider, of Danbury.

She will also be missed by her four cherished grandchildren; her brothers, Frank Zboray, and his wife Patricia, of Dallas, Ga., and Andrew Zboray of Florida; three sisters, Teresa Johnstone of Stamford, Barbara Devine, and her husband Richard, of Stamford; and Diane Iuso of Stamford; along with several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Saturday, January 28, from 11 am to noon, at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, following with a Prayer Service will be held at noon, in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
