Veteran Of International Teamsters Union

Victor C. Sondergaard, 86, of Decatur, N.Y., the brother of Phil Sondergaard, who with his wife Joan were former longtime residents of Newtown, died on January 17. Mr Sondergaard was born in Bridgeport to Mildred and Victor Sondergaard, November 23, 1925.

As a member of the International Teamsters Union, he was a truck driver, retiring with 40 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Connie Schaefer; two children; one grandson; a great-granddaughter; three siblings; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours and in the spring there will be a gathering of family and friends.
