Warrant

Police report that after learning that they held a warrant for his arrest, Kenton Lord, 18, of 35 Cherry Street went to the police station on the night of January 26 and was charged with third-degree criminal mischief.

Police said the arrest stems from a complaint they received on November 26 concerning Lord allegedly having damaged a window at the Newtown Mobil gas station at 62 Church Hill Road.

After processing, police released Lord on $100 bail for a February 9 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.

Moving Violations

At about 5:30 pm on January 26, police stopped motorist Artur Godlewski, 25, of Bethel near 19 Main Street to investigate.

Police said they charged Godlewski with failure to display a marker plate and with driving with a suspended license.

After he posted $100 bail, police released Godlewski for a February 9 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.

Masonicare

Police report that sometime between 7:35 pm on January 21 and 10 am on January 22, someone intentionally damaged an unspecified motor vehicle which was parked in the parking lot at Masonicare at Newtown at 139 Toddy Hill Road. The facility formerly was known as Ashlar at Newtown.

Police are investigating and ask anyone with information on the criminal mischief to contact Officer Charles Guernsey at 203-426-5841.
