NAUGATUCK – With a good turnout in all age groups, the Torpedoes claimed their first win of the season with a 314-229 decision over Naugatuck last weekend, clearly demonstrating the steadily improving performance of so many of their young swimmers.

In a well-orchestrated meet, the Torpedoes took an early lead with powerful medley relay performances in all age groups. The Atkinson sisters (Maggie, Emma and Abby) claimed a combination of five individual first places closely followed by the Fiore brothers (Luke and Anthony) with a total four individual wins.

Other multiple winners included Maggie Hemingway, Lisa Isabella, Kyle O’Connor, Stefan Toi, Zach Moliver and Jay Shunter.

The Torpedoes will battle New Milford on Saturday, February 3.
