Did You See President Bushâs State of the Union Address?
David Todd: âNo, because I had no interest. I support [John] Kerry. I have a place in Vermont and always believed [former Vermont governor] Howard Dean to be overrated.â
Rob Bergeron: âI think George W. Bush is the man. Even though I didnât watch the State of the Union address, I support him. I think he has done well with the War on Terrorism.â
Robert Lisi: âYes, I watched the State of the Union address. I was really upset by [former general] Wesley Clark and John Kerryâs comments about Bush afterward regarding his lack of military experience. As a former guardsmen myself, I think [Bush] should have more respect. I am now writing a letter to the editor to the Connecticut Post that is a memo to Clark and Kerry [on the issue].â
Susan Klein: âI didnât watch the State of the Union address because I was working. My husband would have more to tell you â heâs very politically involved! I, personally, hesitate to support some of Bushâs policies. I question them.â
Cynthia Koplobsky: âI used to be in the Army Reserves. I strongly support Bush, although I wasnât able to watch the State of the Union address. I am trying to get out the vote to my friends because I think this [upcoming] election is important.â
Mary Thomas: âI watched part of the State of the Union address. I believe in some of what Bush says, like supporting our ongoing fight against terrorism, and would like to see some of it happen.â
