Holistic Health Group Plans  Networking And Speaker

DANBURY — The Danbury Branch of the Connecticut Holistic Health Association is holding a networking and speaker meeting featuring “On the Stage of Holistic Health” with Lucille Kinlein on Monday, February 9, at 6:30 pm at Western Connecticut State University, Midtown Campus, Warner Hall, 181 White Street.

The program is open to all holistic practitioners, students, faculty, and interested general public.  The cost is $5 for CHHA members, $10 for non-CHHA members, free to Westconn students and faculty, $1 for senior citizens, $1 for other students with I.D.

Lucille Kinlein is an educator, nurse, researcher, and theorist who founded a health care profession called Esca in 1979. She defines Esca as that intrinsic moving power in every human being to take action in living life on a day-to-day basi.  The application of Esca is the practice of Kinleining which is based on the theory of “caring with” people, helping them build on all that is good, strong, and healthy in their lives as they move in the direction they have determined, in the way they want to move and in the timing they have determined.

Her talk on February 9 will deal with the public’s focus on their participation in their own health care and how health care professionals are responding to this movement.  Ms Kinlein will share her vision of the future of the health care field.

The Connecticut Holistic Health Association is a group of collaborative practitioners, whose mission is to promote and support the philosophy of holistic health care.  The organization provides an environment for professional stimulation and growth; educates the public and promotes awareness of holistic health practices; and provides leadership in efforts to partner with traditional health practitioners.
